Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which bookings made through Eventsarthi may be cancelled by users or vendors, along with the associated implications. By using Eventsarthi’s services, you agree to the following cancellation terms:

1. User-Initiated Cancellations

  1. Users may cancel their booking by sending a written request to support@eventsarthi.com with their booking ID, vendor name, and reason for cancellation.

  2. Cancellations made within 12 hours of booking and before vendor confirmation may be eligible for a full refund (excluding non-refundable platform fees).

  3. Cancellations made after vendor confirmation are subject to:

    • Vendor-specific cancellation charges
    • Deduction of platform convenience fees
    • Partial refunds only if vendor has not started preparations or incurred costs
  4. Last-minute cancellations (within 72 hours of event date) may not be eligible for any refund unless approved by the vendor under special conditions.

2. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations

  1. If a vendor cancels due to unavailability, emergency, or business discontinuity, Eventsarthi will offer:

    • Immediate full refund to the user
    • Option to rebook another verified vendor with equivalent pricing
  2. Vendor cancellations without valid reason will be penalized and may lead to account suspension or removal from our platform.

3. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances

  1. Neither Eventsarthi nor vendors shall be held liable for cancellations due to events beyond reasonable control such as:

    • Natural calamities (flood, earthquake)
    • Pandemic lockdowns or government restrictions
    • Terrorist activity or civil unrest
    • National mourning or major emergencies
  2. In such cases, refunds will be reviewed based on vendor expenditure already incurred and feasible partial reimbursements may be issued.

4. Cancellation Process

  1. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.
  2. Verbal cancellations or social media messages will not be considered valid cancellation requests.
  3. Once received, the cancellation request will be reviewed within 3–5 business days and users will be informed of the outcome via email.

5. Non-Cancellable Bookings

  1. Certain bookings (e.g., during peak wedding season or for services marked as “non-cancellable”) are not eligible for refunds once confirmed by the vendor.
  2. In such cases, users are advised to carefully read vendor terms and clarification before making advance payments.

6. Modification of Policy

  1. Eventsarthi reserves the right to amend this Cancellation Policy at any time.
  2. Any changes will be communicated through our platform and will take effect immediately upon posting.
